Spark your child’s curiosity and creativity through the Bay Area Discovery Museum’s exciting three-week family classes, where toddlers (and caregivers) are led through child-directed educational activities in a small group setting. In these one-hour family classes, our early childhood educators model research-backed learning techniques and skills related to guided play, communication, and language development. Spend quality one-on-one time with your toddler, while learning new methods to provide your child with enriching educational experiences. Plus, these classes are a great way to introduce your child to group play and learning. Family classes are listed below:

Outdoor Learning (October 12, October 19, & October 26)

Outdoor Learning is a three-week family class where children (and their caregivers) explore a variety of open-ended nature stations designed to engage their senses and foster creativity. Activities may include mud painting, nature collage, sculpture, mobile making, and water exploration. Explore the outdoors with your child in a risk-friendly environment, while supported by our early childhood educators, who share skills and resources to further help you encourage your child’s exploration and learning. Each class concludes with suggestions for expanding on the day’s theme in other museum spaces. Classes are designed for small groups with no more than 12 children.

No make up classes. In the event a customer misses a class, we do not offer make up days to be applied to future classes. No refunds are given for a customer missing a class.
