Bay Area Discovery Museum Hosts Birthday Bash on August 20 and 21

Celebrate the Bay Area Discovery Museum’s 25th anniversary at two-day festival

What: The Bay Area Discovery Museum is hosting Birthday Bash, a celebration of the museum’s 25 year anniversary at Fort Baker in Sausalito. This two-day family-friendly festival includes musical performances, special programs, and activities for children ages 6 months to 10 years. Event highlights include:

  • Unveiling of Artist-in-Residence Mary Carter Taub’s large-scale on-site installation, Parade
  • Free cupcakes and ice cream on Saturday evening
  • Musical performances by E.W. Wainwright, Miss Kitty, Jelly Jam Time, and Asheba
  • Horse-drawn stagecoach rides
  • Opportunity to engrave wooden birthday candles in the Fab Lab
  • Hands-on STEM and art programs
  • Bounce castles and face painting

Why: To celebrate the Bay Area Discovery Museum’s 25th anniversary at Fort Baker in Sausalito.

Who: Everyone is invited to celebrate the museum’s 25-year legacy at Birthday Bash. Admission to the museum is free on Saturday, August 20 from 5 – 7 p.m. During this time, Miss Kitty will do a “Happy Birthday” sing-a-long, followed by free cupcakes and ice cream.

When: This two-day birthday festival takes place on Saturday, August 20 from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m., and Sunday, August 21 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. On August 20, admission to the museum is free from 5 – 7 p.m.
