Lookout Cove

Play on 2.5 acres of outdoor space with caves, boats, and hiking trails!

Lookout Cove is a 2.5-acre interactive outdoor exploration area featuring natural elements and iconic Bay Area landmarks for children to play on. The outdoor space includes tide pools, gravel pits, fishing boats, shipwrecks, caves, spider web installations, and hiking trails.

In this expansive exhibit space, the opportunities for open-ended creative play are endless. Children can climb aboard the Bonnie Boat—an authentic fishing boat—and imagine sailing around the Bay. Kids can dig around a 700-square-foot gravel pit, or uncover artifacts in the shipwreck’s hull. Kids can explore in sea caves and discover tide pools, or hike along the trail for incredible views of the Golden Gate Bridge.
