Family-Friendly Gala with Ferris Wheel & STEM Programs at Bay Area Discovery Museum

What: The Bay Area Discovery Museum is hosting its spring family gala, A Night on the Town. The family fundraiser celebrates innovations in city landscapes, architecture, and transportation with fun activities for all ages. The evening will feature an array of kid-friendly activities and STEM programs such as:

  • Ferris Wheel Rides
  • Entertainers
  • Dance Lessons
  • Skyscraper Design in the Fab Lab
  • Portraits by a Caricature Artist
  • DJ & Dancing
  • Food & Drinks
  • Art Gallery

Who: Attendees will include local celebrities, Bay Area families, philanthropists, as well as Bay Area Discovery Museum board members, trustees, donors, and members.

When: Saturday, May 13, 2017. General admission opens at 5:30 p.m. Host Committee members and their guests receive early entry, special activities, and a performance by jazz artist E.W. Wainwright between 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. Free valet parking provided.

Where: Bay Area Discovery Museum, Fort Baker, 557 McReynolds Road, Sausalito, CA 94965.

Media Opportunities: Visuals of children and families dressed up and enjoying activities and programs celebrating city landscapes, architecture, and transportation, as well as dinner, drinks, dancing, and Ferris Wheel rides. Interviews with museum leadership and guests.

Why: Proceeds from A Night on the Town support the Bay Area Discovery Museum’s mission and helps the museum provide more than 60,000 low-income Bay Area children and families with free access to the museum every year.
