School Visits

Whether you’re looking for a class field trip to explore hands-on museum exhibitions or seeking an inquiry-based STEM workshop for your students, you’ll find it at the Bay Area Discovery Museum (BADM). We offer three program types for preschool to third grade groups: Discover-It-Yourself Visits, STEM Workshops, and STEM Intensives. All of our school visit programs are rooted in Preschool Learning Foundations, Common Core, and Next Generation Science Standards. No matter which type of school visit you choose, they all provide students with exploratory, engaging, and fun STEM learning experiences.

Discover-It-Yourself Visits

Discover-It-Yourself field trips are self-guided visits to the museum, perfect for preschools, early elementary classrooms, and community organizations.

STEM Workshops

Designed for Pre-K to third grade students, STEM Workshops provide a playful, hands-on, multisensory exploration of STEM content at the museum or in the classroom.

STEM Intensives

STEM Intensives are a series of three facilitated workshops, two in the classroom with a workshop and field trip at the museum in between.
