Save the date for Creativity Forum 2019 on March 7, 2019.
Creativity Forum 2019 features a keynote address by Dr. Chip Donohue, Founding Director of the Technology in Early Childhood Center. In his talk, “Children and Technology: Navigating the Digital Age,” Dr. Donohue will address what role technology does—and should—play in the way we raise our children. Join us as he shares tips on how parents can recognize that their child is ready for technology, the role parents play as “media mentors,” and more thoughtful insights on surviving our increasingly digital world as a family.
Proceeds from Creativity Forum support the Bay Area Discovery Museum’s access initiatives for underserved communities and our mission to transform research into early learning experiences that inspire creative problem solving.
On March 9, 2018, we welcomed Dr. Kathy Hirsh-Pasek, author of Becoming Brilliant: What Science Tells Us About Raising Successful Children, to Creativity Forum. Dr. Hirsh-Pasek provided insight on the traits that matter most today and what we can do to develop them in children.
Creativity Forum 2018, was also a chance to celebrate the 10th anniversary of BADM’s school-readiness program, Connections. Connections provides low-income preschoolers attending subsidized schools—as well as their teachers and parents—a chance to experience BADM, both at the museum and at their schools.
