Messy Art Fest
Thank you for joining us at BADM's first-ever Messy Art Fest! We had a blast painting, dancing, and creating together and we can't wait to push the limits of arts and crafts with you all again next year.
The Learning Behind the Fun
We hope you enjoyed BADM’s first ever Messy Art Fest! Did you know that by bringing your child to engage in all our messy fun, you also gave them an opportunity to build key thinking skills they’ll rely on their entire lives?
At Painting Gallery:
While your child was painting on canvas, on 3D sculptures, and probably even on themselves in Painting Gallery they were learning how to take risks, which prepares them to better identify and assess risks as they get older.
At Paper Marbling:
While your child was using shaving cream and liquid watercolors to create a unique marbled masterpiece during Paper Marbling, they were engaging with cause and effect which builds thinking skills like questioning and curiosity.
At Scribbling Machines:
While your child was creating and testing during Scribbling Machines they were using BADM’s engineering design process Think, Make, Try which guides them to reflect on their work and persist through challenges.
Messy Art Fest is just one of the many annual festivals at the Bay Area Discovery Museum. You can redeem your Messy Art Fest tickets to receive a discount on a new BADM Membership!
