Sid the Science Kid: The Super-Duper Exhibit

Sid the Science Kid: The Super-Duper Exhibit!

Visit Sid the Science Kid at BADM now until September 3, 2018.

From the kitchen table to the ride to school, young learners interact with science every day, even if they don’t realize it! BADM’s new traveling exhibit, Sid the Science Kid: The Super-Duper Exhibit! introduces kids to science concepts through fun, hands-on exploration in spaces they’re familiar with.

Based on the award-winning PBS series, and created by The Magic House, St. Louis Children’s Museum in collaboration with The Jim Henson Company, visitors to the exhibit will step into Sid’s world where they’ll use scientific tools to learn about simple machines, the laws of motion, magnetism, air power, the five senses, and more!

Museum Tickets* Free for Members

*Sid the Science Kid: The Super-Duper Exhibit! is included in price of admission. Buy tickets online and save time upon entrance! Online ticket holders are admitted at the Member Entry Line.

By bringing to life five main environments, the exhibit gives visitors of all ages a chance to step inside Sid’s world and see for themselves that science, technology, engineering, and math learning happens everywhere.

Kitchen
Science is sweet…and savory! Sid’s kitchen is a great place for children to explore STEM concepts like pattern-making, weighing and measuring, density, and the five senses.

Sid’s Room
Chores like putting away toys or straightening the bookshelf can actually be fun! In Sid’s room, kids explore how simple scientific tools and games can be used to accomplish everyday tasks.

Backyard
Solving problems with science makes for backyard fun. Kids operate a pulley system to lift toys up to Sid’s backyard tree house, and share ideas for scientific solutions through a whisper tube.

Classroom
In Sid’s classroom, STEM learning is taken to the next level through experiments, research, and exploration, including time spent in Sid’s school’s “Super Fab Lab.”

Playground
On the playground, kids have a chance to see how science learning and creative fun go hand-in-hand with games, jokes, and exciting activities.
