The Bay Area Discovery Museum is seeking responsible, reliable, and energetic individuals to join our Volunteer Program.
Volunteers Have the Opportunity to:
Inspire Others:
- Welcome visitors and engage families throughout the museum.
- Support programs by preparing materials behind the scenes.
- Inspire curiosity and joyful learning at festivals and events.
Who Are We Looking For:
- Volunteers 15 years or older.
- Passionate about hands-on learning.
- Interested in working with young children.
When:
Fall Session: October 11th-November 29th
Winter Session: December 6th – February 28th
Spring Session: March 7th – May 30th
Summer Session: June 6th – August 29th

Important Information
Volunteers must be at least 15 years old.
A background check is required for all regular volunteers over 15.
The museum does not permit volunteering for individuals with offenses involving minors, serious drug or alcohol crimes, or acts of violence.
The Bay Area Discovery Museum reserves the right to decline or discontinue volunteer participation at any time.
Do I need prior experience to volunteer?
We ask that volunteers have some experience working with children.
What is the time commitment to volunteer?
The time slots to volunteer are 9:30am and 12:30pm. We ask for at least a 3-hour commitment.
How do I sign up?

I want to bring a big group to volunteer!
We welcome both individuals and volunteer groups of up to six people, per day. To schedule a volunteer session, please contact volunteer@badm.org
