Fun with Physics (Mechanical Engineering: Roller Coaster)
January 15
9:15 - 10:30 a.m.

Engineer your own roller coaster and see how its design affects its speed. Scouts will sketch, design and build a roller coaster and carriage, complete with falls and loops! Learn about engineering and motion by building and testing the roller coaster you designed.

Code Constructors (Coding for Good 1 and 2)
April 16
9:15 - 11:15 a.m.

Find out how computer scientists write programs for computers to solve problems.  In this workshop scouts will learn about women in computer science, understand algorithms, loops, and events and use that information to create a maze game using Scratch.  Participants will then be encouraged to share their game with others.  When you've earned this badge, you'll know how to think like a game maker and use iteration to plan, build, and test a game.
