Tot Spot Stream

The Tot Spot Stream allows your child to explore new experiences in the natural world around them. While your child splashes around or listens to the flow of the stream, try talking to them about the properties of water, the different characteristics of the fish, or what senses they’re experiencing as the water rushes through their hands. Introducing new vocabulary to your child support’s their ability learn new words and understand the meaning of the complex topics related to the new vocabulary.

Art Studios

Projects in the Art Studios give your child the opportunity to learn new skills, solve problems creatively, and learn STEM content all at the same time. When your child participates in a project with crayons and watercolor paint, they can observe how the two interact. When your child uses tools to change the shape of clay, they question how the tools work. Observation, questioning, and analysis are all key thinking dispositions that children will rely on in school and beyond.

Lookout Cove

When your child climbs up the stump trail or to the top of the Crow’s Nest they are moving their body and taking age-appropriate risk. This type of risky physical play teaches your child how to judge and manage risk, which helps them understand that failure is ok. When children feel confident to fail safely, they are more likely to try new things and take on challenges.
