Custom Packages: Capacity is determined by the total number of guests, regardless of whether the guests are children or adults.
All other Packages (Blast, Bounce A Palooza, and Build A Palooza): Capacity for children and capacity for adults is determined separately. Capacity for children is determined by the total number of children ages 6 months - 10 years. Capacity for adults is determined by the total number of attendees over that age.
Capacity includes the birthday child, host family, and all guests (even if they are BADM members).
Party guest admission is included in the room reservation price, excluding the picnic table reservation! Party guests have free admission all day, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., and can explore the museum before, during, and after the party time.
We guarantee 15 minutes for party set-up for Discovery Studio and Playhouse parties and 30 minutes for Discovery Theater parties. Our staff will assist with set-up to ensure you are ready by the time your party starts! You may arrive earlier to play, but we do not allow early access to the room. Due to limited storage space, we do not accept party supplies before the day of your.
Our staff assists with set up before the start of the party. At the end time of the party reservation, we will help collect all your decorations, party supplies, and food onto carts. Hosts are not responsible for cleanup of the reserved room. The hosts and guests are encouraged to explore the museum once all belongings have been gathered onto carts, in order to allow for efficient cleanup by our staff. If you choose to arrive early to play, we will do our best to help store party supplies until your setup time
Your time in the party room is 1.5 hour and will begin and end promptly as scheduled. You are welcome to enjoy the museum before, during, and after the party but the room must be vacated on time to accommodate other parties, events, and programs.
We allow any outside food options to be brought in or delivered. A suggested list of nearby catering options can be found here. Please note we do not allow alcohol or Sterno flames (canned fuel that is lighted to heat food trays).
We do not have an ice machine on-site, please bring your own ice.
A $15 administrative fee may be charged to adjust your reservation after booking. There is a $50 fee to reschedule within 2 weeks of your party date.
Cancellations made up to 2 weeks before from the event date will receive a full refund, minus a $150 administrative fee. Cancellations within 2 weeks of the event will result in a 50% refund. This is valid up to the day of your party.
