Welcome to Bay Area Discovery Museum! As you explore campus, let your little ones take the lead. Every exhibit is designed to cultivate curiosity, awaken the imagination and empower growing minds. There's no wrong way to experience the museum, every visit is different and the possibilities are always changing!

Discounted and Free Visits:

No advanced reservations are required to use any of our admission programs. 

Bay Area Discovery Museum strives to bring joyful learning opportunities to every child in the Bay Area. As a part of our mission we offer discounted admission to the museum through the programs below. 

Museums for All: Bay Area Discovery Museum offers $2 admission to EBT (Electronic Benefit Transfer) cardholders and their families ($2 per family member) through the Museums for All program (limit 6 people per card a day).

Free Days: Bay Area Discovery Museum offers free admission to Bay Area residents on the first Wednesday of every other month.

Family Access Membership: Reduced-cost memberships ($40/year) are available to families who qualify and offer all the same benefits as a Family Membership. Learn more about this membership program.

Open Door Policy: Bay Area Discovery Museum does not turn away visitors due to financial barriers. Families are welcome to visit the museum by donating any amount. To participate, tell the front desk staff that you wish to make a donation to the museum.

Wednesday - Monday: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Member Hour: 9 – 10 a.m.
Closed: Tuesday
