Psychologist and author, Kathy Hirsh-Pasek, is speaking at Creativity Talks on Tuesday, October 25, in Sausalito
What: Creativity Talks are free evening lecture series featuring prominent speakers on topics of creativity and early childhood presented by the Bay Area Discovery Museum and its Center for Childhood Creativity. Renowned psychologist and author, Kathy Hirsh-Pasek is presenting key findings from her new book Becoming Brilliant: What Science Tells us About Raising Successful Children at this Creativity Talks lecture. After her talk, guests are welcome to participate in a Q&A session. These talks are ideal for parents, formal and informal educators, scientists, and researchers.
Who: For more than 30 years Dr. Kathy Hirsh-Pasek, director of the Infant Language Laboratory and the Stanley and Debra Lefkowitz Faculty Fellow in the department of psychology at Temple University, has performed groundbreaking research in language and literacy and contributed to advances in education through her work on playful learning and early spatial development. She is the author of 14 books, including How Babies Talk: The Magic and Mystery of Language in the First Three Years of Life and Einstein Never used Flashcards: How Children Really Learn and Why They Need to Play More and Memorize Less.
