BADM will remain open throughout our exhibit updates, which are set to begin in March 2019. Over the length of renovation, we will be installing five new exhibits and adding additional visitor amenities. Exhibit updates will happen in phases, so keep visiting to experience our progress and enjoy our new exhibits as they open.

BOLD, the campaign for the Bay Area Discovery Museum, is in collaboration with a world-class team of experts.

Cello & Maudru Construction is a Bay Area general contractor that joins with inspired owners and visionary designers to plan and build long-imagined structures. Typologies include modern and historic estate residences, wineries, boutique resorts, restaurants, galleries, and museums.

Now in its fifth decade of practice, Olson Kundig is a full-service global design firm whose work includes residences, hospitality projects, commercial and mixed-use design, academic buildings, museums and exhibition design, interior design, product design, landscape design, and places of worship for clients around the globe. The firm is led by five owners – Jim Olson, Tom Kundig, Kirsten R. Murray, Alan Maskin, and Kevin M. Kudo-King – who are supported by a staff of over 180 in Seattle’s historic Pioneer Square neighborhood.

Surface Design Inc. is a landscape architecture and urban design firm based in San Francisco. This internationally award-winning practice focuses on creating dynamic masterplans, parks, plazas, waterfronts, civic landscapes, and private gardens. Surface Design Inc. employs innovative design strategies to balance social, environmental, and cultural goals for each project.

Projects include: Museo Del Acero Horno, Monterey Mexico; Smithsonian South Campus Masterplan/Washington, DC; Golden Gate Bridge Plaza, San Francisco; and Auckland International Airport, Aukland New Zealand

Volume Inc. is a celebrated design studio focusing on the intersection of branding, architecture, and experience design. Founded in 2001, Volume has created branding, exhibitions, and environmental graphics for a variety of commercial and cultural clients such as Bloomberg, Facebook, Boy Scouts of America, California Academy of Sciences, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (YBCA), 826 Valencia, Adobe Systems, Heath Ceramics, and SFMOMA.

Whiteside Management has represented Owners in the management of construction projects since 2008.  We work on a variety of project types from residential, commercial, and institutional work for ground up development/redevelopment and major renovations.  Our focus remains the same on all of our projects: building a team and collaborating to deliver projects that align with our clients' goals.
