Sausalito, CA – This month, the Bay Area Discovery Museum (BADM) is the place to be for family-friendly winter fun. Throughout December, there are endless reasons to come celebrate the season, whether you have family in town visiting for a holiday or want a special day with the kids during school break. Iceless Skating Rink Open All Month
Skate into the winter season with a trip to BADM’s Iceless Skating Rink! Set inside a winter wonderland, this rink is the perfect way to give children a taste of classic winter fun – without the fear of falling. The rink will be open from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on weekends and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on weekdays.

Santa at BADM
If your seasonal celebrations aren’t complete without a visit to see Santa, BADM has you covered! Santa will be dropping by BADM’s Discovery Theater on December 14-15, and there are two chances for visitors to meet him! On both days, purchase a ticket for our morning Snacks with Santa event to enjoy cocoa, nibbles, and a picture with Santa. In the afternoon, Santa will be available for photos only, so you can spend the morning playing in the museum and still get your seasonal photo!

Noon Year’s Eve
Ring in 2020 with style – and with activities the whole family will love! At BADM’s annual Noon Year’s Eve, visitors can join in festive programs, dance to the tunes of special musical guests, and countdown to a 12 p.m. ball drop! Kids will love getting in on the New Year’s Eve fun, and parents will love getting them to bed on time!

December STEM and Art Programs
Drop-in for festive fun at BADM’s December STEM and Art Programs! This month, visitors can build a sled to safely transport penguin friends down a mountain, or construct an Ice Castle that makes the perfect addition to any winter scene. Join us for these and other themed STEM and Art Programs all month long!
