In May, Kids Can Travel the World at the Bay Area Discovery Museum

Join us for STEM Superheroes: Planet Protectors on May 12 and 13

Sausalito, CA- On May 12 and 13, the Bay Area Discovery Museum (BADM) continues its 2018 STEM Superheroes Festival Series. Creatively themed, hands-on activities will show kids how they can use science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) to protect the planet. Later in the month, BADM opens a new special exhibit, Sid the Science Kid: The Super-Duper Exhibit! Read more about May events below.

STEM Superheroes: Planet Protectors
At BADM, kids have fun traveling the world, without ever leaving the Bay Area! During STEM Superheroes: Planet Protectors, BADM transforms its site into a habitat unlike any other, representing the earth’s unique biomes. Kids will have fun exploring the rainforest, the desert, and even the arctic! Along the way, they’ll learn about the plant and animal life that makes each ecosystem unique and how they can use STEM to protect it for generations to come.
Join us for STEM Superheroes: Planet Protectors on May 12-13 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

May Drop-In Programs
At BADM, there is no limit to the ways that you and your child can explore creativity and STEM. Our daily drop-in programs and projects encourage children to try out new ideas or come up with original solutions to unexpected challenges. In May, children can use binoculars and other tools to become Bay Area birders, or practice dip-dying techniques to create an original wall hanging. These activities, along with other May offerings, combine creative fun with innovative learning, encourage STEM thinking, and teach artistic techniques.
For more information on daily drop-in activities, please click here.
All drop-in activities are included in the price of museum admission or free for BADM members.
