Fab Lab Class

During a BADM Fab Lab Class, children and caregivers get an in-depth, hands-on experience with the tools and technology in BADM’s unique makerspace, the Fab Lab. Using BADM’s engineering design process of “Think, Make, Try,” participants will solve creative challenges and test out new ideas. Fab Lab Classes follow two different structures to best accommodate two different age groups. Classes are offered for children ages 3-6 and their families, and for children ages 6-10, with caregiver attendance optional.

Saturday and Sunday, February 2 and 3
Cars (Ages 3-6)

Children and caregivers will work together to laser cut a body design for a car. Once their design is printed, they’ll add different weight to their car bodies and see how their car performs on two different test ramps. At the end of the class, they’ll take their unique design home.

Caregivers must remain in the Fab Lab with their children for the duration of this class. One adult per two children is required.
