Fab Lab Class

During a BADM Fab Lab Class, children and caregivers get an in-depth, hands-on experience with the tools and technology in BADM’s unique makerspace, the Fab Lab.

Sunday, April 14 – Spring Things

Ages: 3+ (Caregiver Attendance Required)

Children and their caregivers will work together to use our engineering design process, Think, Make, Try, to design a spring-powered creation. Using hand tools, power tools, and high tech tools, kids will design a laser cut creation, build a base, and test out different springs to determine how they affect the height of their creation’s jump. At the end of class, they’ll take home their new springy creations.

About the Fab Lab

Fab Labs are maker spaces with digital fabrication technology such as 3-D printers, laser cutters, and vinyl cutters. Our Fab Lab is the world’s first for early learning, enabling children to intentionally build science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) skills through hands-on learning. Exhibit entry is free for members and included in the price of museum admission.
