The World’s First Early Learning Fab Lab

Fab Labs are maker spaces with digital fabrication technology such as 3-D printers, laser cutters, and vinyl cutters. Our Fab Lab is the world’s first for early learning, enabling children to intentionally build science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) skills through hands-on learning. Exhibit entry is included in the price of museum admission

Open Studio Hours*

Wood Shop: Children engage in a design challenge or STEM-based activity using digital and analog tools in our Fab Lab. In Wood Shop, children explore different tools used for shaping and cutting wood. .


Wednesdays 10:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Fridays 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Saturdays 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m | 2 – 3:30 p.m.
Sundays 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. | 2 – 3:30 p.m.
The 2 – 3:30 p.m. Fab Lab Open Studio Hours is cancelled on Saturday, March 3.
